My name is Judith Turner. I was born in the parish of Manchester but I presently live and work in Kingston Jamaica. I was trained at the Shortwood teachers College in the area of Visual Arts and Social Studies. I also have a degree in History Education from the University of the West Indies Mona. I’m a teacher at the Queen’s School where I teach Visual Arts and History. I did a summer training at the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts in Drawing and Painting. I’ve being seriously practicing painting and drawing for the past three years and I work mainly with the medium Acrylic on Canvas but I also use oil, charcoal and pencil. I have entered the JCDC Visual Arts Competition in 2017 where I received a merit award.
