Josianne Simms Teacher
My name is Josianne Simms and I am the eldest of five siblings to my mother who was a teacher and my father who was a farmer. I was born in the district of Rock River in the parish of Clarendon and resided in the district of Chapelton where I attended Chapelton All Age School and then went on to Clarendon College. I also attended Knox Community College after which I worked as a Clerical Assistant at the Chapelton All Age School for three years then I moved on to study in the area of Accounting and Management at Duff’s Business College. After completing my studies at Duff’s Business College I worked as an accountant at Internal Business and Accounting firm in Kingston, where I lived. I then worked at the Unity Preparatory School as a classroom teacher, where I taught for six year then moved on to Greenwich Primary School where I have been a teacher for the past sixteen years. During my tenure at Greenwich Primary School I completed my diploma in Early Childhood Education and my first degree in Primary Education. I am married and the mother of four children and also a christian.
