Andre’ Wayne Reid is a marketing communications and event management specialist with experience in tourism as well as a solid foundation in hospitality marketing. Reid is lead consultant at Andre Wayne Enterprise (AWE) and currently writes, as a guest blogger, for Sagicor Jamaica in addition to teaching English as a second language (TESOL) to native Spanish speakers.

He has also written newspaper articles as a Beauty Contributor (Features Writer) for Jamaica Observer, under the name Andre Wayne, in addition to being a former consultant in Brand and Marketing for Crissa Group via Spanish Court Hotels.

Previously, he was the Marketing and Events Manager at Devon House Development Company Limited, an agency of Jamaica’s Ministry of Tourism and Entertainment from 2010 – 2016.

A member of the senior management team, Reid had responsibility for the development and implementation of the company’s global communications activities for the iconic Devon House heritage attraction in Kingston, Jamaica. These included media relations, brand management, advertising, executive and employee communications. As chief revenue officer, his additional responsibilities included business development and leading all sales initiatives for weddings, special events and heritage tours.

Prior to this assignment, Andre’ led public relations and events at Jamaica Observer, a highly rated news and lifestyle daily publication. Here he oversaw various activities for company-owned events including the Table Talk Food Awards and Business Leader Awards.

Before joining Jamaica Observer, he was the Sales and Public Relations Manager at the luxury-included Royal Plantation resort by Sandals in Ocho Rios, St. Ann. In that position, he led all communications and resort sales activities in addition to becoming a certified wedding specialist.

In prior dispensations, Andre’ has amassed a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry for notable Caribbean and international brands including the Terra Nova All-Suite Hotel, Hilton Kingston, Ciboney Ocho Rios by Radisson and Air Jamaica.
