Anna-Kim is on a mission to empower vulnerable and marginalized populations- particularly, girls, women and the LGBTQ community- to access tools, resources and necessities that would allow them to shape their own future and create their own destiny. With a Master’s Degree in Economic Development Policy from the University of the West Indies Jamaica, she has a unique 10-year background in the design and management of programs in the area of Gender, Health Safety, and Security, Social Entrepreneurship and Advocacy. She also specializes in providing technical capacity building for grassroots organizations involved in social intervention and development projects.
As Field Operations Manager at Heartland Alliance International, she serves as the bridge between the head office and its field offices, ensuring compliance to the organization’s operational standards, as well as, donor specific requirements. One such standard is HAI’s policy to prevent sexual Harassment, Exploitation and Abuse (SHEA). Anna-Kim leads HAI’s effort to prevent and respond to Sexual Harassment, Exploitation and Abuse to ensure that SHEA policy is understood and integrated in all of HAI’s programming.
