• I calculated past and future actuarial reserves for Defined Benefit schemes using actuarial costing methods to determine the required Employer contribution rate.
• I wrote actuarial valuation reports for private companies, central banks, utility companies, multi-national companies and Government entities in line with regional and international standards (ie. IAS 19 and FAS 87).
• I categorised membership data into homogeneous risk groups and assigned age-specific mortality rates to each group.
• I carried out discontinuance valuations for pension funds that were winding up.
• I arranged and facilitated the training of fellow and new actuarial assistants.
• I communicated and met with clients on a regular basis, including Trustees, Lawyers, Auditors, Investment Managers, Regulators, Directors, Accountants, financial controllers, HR personnel and Administrators.
